Crayola products have been a staple of every classroom for like, ever. Now Crayola has brought their drawing and design products into the Web 2.0 world with two online interactive tools:
Students are given a blank canvas and up to nine different Crayola drawing tools to choose from. The toolkit retreats to the bottom of the canvas automatically after the student chooses a utensil, but can be recalled in order to change ink color, thickness, and pen style. Masterpieces cannot be saved digitally but can be printed (unless you use a screen capture tool). NOTE: I couldn’t find any “eraser” tool, but did find that if you use the Erasable Marker then its eraser tip will remove any ink on the canvas.
Crayola’s Create & Color Tool (Pre-K and up)
This tool is designed for teachers to use to generate custom coloring pages for Pre-K and early elementary students. You choose the background template and then add additional objects such as clipart and speech bubbles. templates cannot be saved digitally but can be printed (unless you use a screen capture tool).
